TOP-QUALITY-SKIING is the common name for the lift company of Ober- and Hochgurgl.
Ski-lifts:
23 ski-lifts, thereof 4 cable cars (Top Express, Hochgurglbahn 1 + 2, Festkoglbahn), 2 6-man bubble-lifts, 3 2-man chair lifts, 1 single chair lift (Hohe Mut) and 7 T-bar lifts.
Total capacity: 37.000 passengers/hour.
"TOP-EXPRESS Gurgl" connects the skiing areas of Obergurgl and Hochgurgl by a cable car: an 8-man cable-car connects the skiing areas Obergurgl and Hochgurgl since the winter season 1997/1998. The cable car takes you 3,6 km in only 9 minutes. The lift has 50 8-man cable cars and therefor can carry 1.200 passengers/hour. Within the cable car you have a fantastic panorama view over the Königs- and Verwallvalley and further over the surrounding mountain-summits and glaciers.
4-man-BUBBLE-LIFT from the center of Obergurgl up to the skiing area of the Festkogel:
The "Roßkarlift" ist the 4-man-bubble-chair lift which takes you from the center of Obergurgl to the Festkogl. The lifts lead to the quality of skiing in the area and our slogan: "Comfortable skiing down to the front door".

Almost all the slopes finish in the village area. A free skibus runs between the different parts of the village.
Slopes
Total length of slopes 110 km
(skiing area Hochgurgl about 54 km, skiing area Obergurgl about 56 km) thereof 35 km easy slopes (blue), 55 km medium slopes (red), 20 km difficult slopes (black).
Most beginners practice their first snowplough turns on the Gaisberg-, Bruggenboden- and Mahdstuhllift. More experienced skiers find great conditions on the Festkogel in Obergurgl and on red runs in Hochgurgl.
A challenge for professional skiers are for example the Hohe Mut in Obergurgl and the mogul slope on the Top-Wurmkogel II in Hochgurgl.
Longest run of the area: Wurmkogl - Obergurgl/Pill (8 km - a descent of 1.260 m)
Artificial snow:
If powder snow or firn snow - the slopes in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl offer you maximum enjoyment on 110 km of slopes.
If it does not snow - Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is prepared!! Artificial snow making facilities on 90 % of the slopes since the winter season 1999/2000 . Artifical snow is today made over computers. If temperature and humidity are adequate the artifical snow machines start automatically. Five weather-stations give the detailed information needed. Artificial snow is made out of air and germinated drinking-water. A water reservoir (10.000 m³) is situated in the Gaisbergtal.
